Convo last night before bed:
Kylie - "So when will it be my birthday?"
Me - "Tomorrow. You know that."
Kylie - "But when will I turn 5, like what time?!"
Me - "As soon as you wake up."
Kylie - "Sweeeeet!" hahahaha
(So I guess if I never let her get up from bed, she'll stay 4. teeheehee, boohooohooo. They really shouldn't grow up so fast.) Today we are taking her around town to spoil her (w/freebies, haha) and then tomorrow will be her art party w/a few friends over. Everybody is still in bed right now and I'm secretly crying w/ joy.
Some of you know, but my daughter was born 3 months early (28 weeker) and spent 2 months & 4 days in the hospital getting bigger. :) She was born 1 lb 12 oz and was a little fireball from the beginning. haha. The nurses would snuggle her in the middle of her tiny little bed (that was still bigger than her) and when they would come back to check on her she'd be at the bottom of her bed nestled in the corner. hahaha. They used to joke that she was trying to repel out of there on her wires and cords. :) My daughter has such a fun personality. There is NEVER a dull moment w/her. She loves to laugh, has such a beautiful smile (I despise her fake one but the real one comes w/cute dimples. haha), and she just makes me so proud to be her mom.
We are about to enter a new season of parenting w/a school ager, yikes! haha. I don't know if she'll love school like I did, be a trouble maker like her daddy pops (I pray not!), if she'll be a leader, be a follower, teacher's pet (*ahem* nothing wrong w/that! hahaha, I totally was!), or what.......but I know she is growing up to be a strong woman of God! I made a mission statement as a parent a few months back "I will please the Lord and fulfill His purpose for my life. I will raise up a godly daughter to do the same; for we are Heaven bound." And I pray this everyday.......God has a plan for this girl. I'm so blessed to be a part of her life!
