Watching cartoons with Kylie:
The cat on TV- I can't help it, I'm a chicken. (Something scared him.)
Kylie- he's not chicken, he's a cat! *pauses* Well what kind of meat is he, ham?
LOL!!!!

SO
Kylie gets out of the car this morning and says, "I'm going to put my stuff in my classroom and then ask my teacher if I can go to the nurse to pull this tooth out." haha Oh goodness.....
THEN
I get a phone call from the school that Kylie thinks she left her lunchbox in the car, but I look in the car and it's not there. I KNOW that girl was carrying her lunch in when I dropped her off.
20MINS LATER
Another call letting me know the lunch has been found after an extensive search for it. hahahaha Oh goodness......
SO
I doubt her teacher sent her to the nurse today for tooth removal. ;)

As a parent, I have a desire to be heard by my child, quite frankly I
almost demand it. But in the quiet of my thoughts today I was reminded
of the times that Kylie does listen to me and how much more important
those times were:
*During our devo story - I got Kylie the Jesus Storybook Bible (which seriously rocks my socks off, I've always heard it would) we were reading The Terrible Lie, and I don't know if it was the dramatic way I was reading it or the story itself, but halfway through that story Kylie was bawling; it brought me to tears and we both cried til the end when we were reminded that God is going to rescue us from our sin. What an awesome moment this morning.
*During our rides in the car - I only listen to Christian music w/Kylie now, and every once in awhile she will ask me how that particular song has to do w/God. She is listening and learning and seeking. ♥
Those listening moments make other things so trivial, yes I STILL want her to listen to me as her parent, but how much more important that she is listening to God and having her spirit stirred w/in her. Thank you Lord for loving my daughter so much!!

"Mom, I accidentally put too much toilet paper in the toilet......" *rolling my eyes* Oh goody, this should be fun. :P
*For the record, it was NOT fun! We had to call the apt guy out to come help us out. Water was all over the floor. And Kylie earned herself 3 weeks of bathroom cleaning duty! (OK so some of it was GREAT for me, hahaha)

| Kylie keeps saying, "I look like somebody else, like a Kate." hahaha. And she also keeps saying, "I can't believe it, I look like a first grader now!" |
