As I was growing up, mom would tell me all kinds of crazy things that I did when I was little. I would laugh and think to myself, really?! Now that I'm a mom, I laugh even harder when those stories are played out by my own daughter. HA!
This morning I opened Kylie's door and she was already wide awake and raring to go. :) (Thankfully she was dry, so that was an added bonus.) We started making her bed.....
Kylie - "Mom, I have something in my nose. Can you see it?"
Me - I tip her head back but I can't see anything. "No baby I can't see anything in there."
We keep making the bed and then she says, "I have part of the blanket in my nose."
Huh?! hahaha, I'm not sure what she is REALLY trying to tell me. So I guess, "A string?" She shakes her head and points to her soft blanket and kind of pulls at the fabric. "No, THIS!"
Me - "A fuzz ball?!"
Kylie - "Yeah."
Me - "Well, hold the other side of your nose and blow it out in the bathroom."
I didn't think much of what she was telling me and I stayed in her room to pick out her clothes for the day. Then I hear, "I GOT IT OUT!" She sounded really excited about this and it intrigued me a little bit.
I walked into the bathroom and Kylie was holding a HUGE fuzz ball (not so fuzzy anymore, if you know what I mean, ha) on the end of her finger. It was so big that I couldn't see almost half her finger. BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA, I cracked up SO hard in my head (I immediately thought of all the stories mom told me about when she was pulling stuff out of my nose with the tweezers.) After I composed my thoughts, I told her not to stick stuff in her nose because she may not be able to get it out and then it would be really hard to breathe. Her response, "What if I just put it right down here?" She was pointing to the opening of her nostril. Oh geez, guess I'll be doing a nose check for awhile.
I can't wait to share this story with mom today! I know she'll get a good laugh. :D Awww, the memories.
