Growing causes goosebumps......

For Easter, I got 3 little egg shell flower pots that came with different seeds. We planted them, watered them, and set them out on the balcony to start soaking up some sun. Two out of the three pots have really been growing!!! So much so, that we got bigger pots and more dirt to give them more room. Then we planted the rest of the seeds in the smaller pots, which are starting to sprout now, too. We now have 5 pots out on our balcony. (I decided NOT to replant one of the seeds, they just weren't growing.) Oh AND Kylie has a "grass head" growing out there too! A little homemade Chia Pet that she made at school a while back. Lots of growth and discovery going on out on our balcony for Springtime.

This morning during breakfast, Kylie and I were talking about the flowers that we're growing and what their names are:

Me - "I know one pot has sunflowers and......" I was trying to remember the other two flowers.

Kylie - "I'm pretty sure one of them has cauliflowers!"

LOL! I don't plan to grow cauliflowers (hahahaha) however, if we can figure this flower thing out we might try to grow some tomatos or something. (I'm not sure if you know about my weird issue with things coming up out of the ground; it gives me the goosebumps, but I suffer through it for Kylie. Parents have to make sacrifices for their kiddos, right?!)

Kylie loves to water her plants and check to see how big they've gotten since the day before (or hour or second, haha.) She's given her "Grass Head" one hair cut already and probably will again in the next few weeks.

I can't help but liken gardening to parenting - Kylie is MY little flower.
I love to nurture her and check to see how big she's gotten since the day before (or hour or second, too!) I haven't given her a hair cut yet, but probably will......at some point. I asked her the other day if she liked her long hair. "Yea! Buuuuuuut, I don't want it to be down to the floor!" I don't want that either! (Buuuuuut, I don't want to cut out her cute curls/waves at the ends!!!) As hard as it will be to give her, her first hair cut; it will be WAY harder to "give her a bigger pot." Every year she's wanting and NEEDING more room to grow. As the "Gardener" well I'm just not ready to think about that......it gives me the goosebumps.
