Let's talk First Grade

What scares you: "Nothing!" 

What are you excited about: "Making new friends and meeting my new teacher." 

Do you have any questions about First Grade? "NO!"

What do you know about First Grade? "We'll have fun and we do not need to worry about anything, because if we need to ask a question our teacher can answer."

 

Accomplishments (and other things)

Learned 2 big word challenges and got the charms for them at church, finished Kindergarten w/all pluses, lost 4 teeth, can read more than 100 sight words, goes under the water at the pool, knows the basics of money and time, plays games on the computer like a pro, climbed the tall rock wall at the park and went down the tall pole to get down, sleeps without music, went skating for the first time

lying (she does this to "protect other people's feelings and/or not to be in trouble.)

wetting the bed (few and far between, but still happens. :P) 

following friends when they make bad choices (praying for this continually.)

playing catch (not sure this will hinder her in life, in any way, shape, or form. hahaha)

tying shoes (yikes I feel awful that we still haven't worked on this really!!!)

washing hands and brushing teeth (she spends 2 seconds on these things, hellooooo germs!) 

 

What she is known for 

*talking - At parent/teacher conferences the words "likes to talk a lot" came up, can't say I'm surprised. I heard those words my WHOLE life.

*being sweet - Kylie's has a sweet spirit. Her teachers at school and church, tell me how sweet she is. She cares about her friends, wants to hold their hands or give them a hug. She loves to share her stuff w/others. She prays in such a genuine sweet way.

*humor/personality -The funniest thing to me about Kylie is she says things so matter-of-factly and they aren't always right! hahaha. Wish I could come up w/a good example, but alas I can not. Stubbornness and hard head!!! Oooooweeeee, this child! Definitely Adam and I's kiddo! Lord help us in the pre-teen and teenage years!!! hahaha, seriously!

*pictures - fake smile, which is so weird w/no teeth! haha. Crazy hip action, half the time she doesn't even want to be facing the camera; it's some weird side angle. The famous eyes being closed. And lastly, the shade hands because the "sun" is in her eyes.

 

Things I hear alot

"You are the best cooker ever." 

"Can I have this recipe when I get older?" 

"Will you come play w/me in my room?" - to her daddy pops

"Guess what!" - says this at least 4 times in the same sentence! hahaha

 "Hi this is the school nurse calling about Kylie..." - nothing serious but this kid is accident prone! 

"Can I turn on the TV?" 

"Do you think I could get some computer time?" 

"Or whateva'." - say what ev.ER!!! hahaha
