13 hours........

Every once in awhile someone will wonder what my day looks like, I always seem to be doing something with Kylie or crafting something or on facebook, hahaha. So here is an idea of what our day looks like:

7:00 - 8:30
Get up, washed, dressed, Kylie does her morning jobs while I get breakfast ready, and eat.


8:30 - 9:00
TV time (She loves Cyber chase on PBS. haha)
*So around this time I would be doing some facebooking!!! Woo-hoo!

9:00 - 10:00
Gym time (I go to the gym and Kylie plays at the playland)
*I haven't been doing this one regularly, but just started it up again; it's time to get in shape for summer, well past time, but better late than never, right?!

10:00 - 11:15
"school time" (This involves worksheets or a structured game or a craft or manipulatives, etc.)
*Here's where the crafting and learning happens!!!!

11:15-12:00
Make lunch (Kylie's been helping me) and eat

12:00-12:30
TV time/reading time (depends what is on or what mood I'm in)
*So if TV time is happening I can get the kitchen cleaned up (which I love so I don't have a dirty kitchen when it's time to make dinner, or if I have laundry ready to fold or if I want to facebook some more because all I want to do is SIT!!) If reading time happens, Kylie picks out some books while I get the kitchen tidied.

12:30 - 2:30
Nap time/rest time (Some times Kylie just lays in her bed but I am taking advantage of this time as long as I can! Some times I relax and other times I get some cleaning done or other things around the house.)
* OK so like today, I am using this time to chill since I have been rather productive all day. Other days I would get some chores done like sweeping and mopping, Adam's bathroom, laundry, dishes, etc.

2:30 - 3:00
Snack and show if she didn't have one before nap.
*If no show we make our snack, like ice cookies or sorting activity that she can eat after, or eat at the table while I'm finishing up a chore.

3:00 - 4:00
Outside time!!!!
*When neither one of us can take one more second in the house we get some shoes on and head out the door. Some times I have an errand to run so after we will go to a park in that area or other times we'll bring outside toys to the side yard and play and we have our playground, too.

4:00 - 5:00
Game time (Kylie loves games that we can play together.) Finish up crafts if needed.
*I look forward to game time! I'm SO competitive and now Kylie is too! hahahaha, it is quite humorous to watch us trash talk each other, but it's all in the name of fun/winning. ;)

6:00 - 6:30
TV time (if she didn't watch after nap) Arthur (another favorite of ours.)
*I am in the kitchen getting dinner prepared or warmed up depending on how diligent was the day before or if we had left overs or whatever.

6:30 - 8:00
Dinner, Kylie does her night jobs, bath play and wash up, story, and bedtime!
*I get a little antsy as the day winds down. I might have a show on that I'm wanting to watch or I want to hear nothing but silence or I am looking forward to another cookie, hahaha, or I want to pamper myself in peace!

So there it is! A day in the life of Shawna and Kylie (if there aren't any things going on around town.) I try to stick to this schedule, some days are looser than others but that's kind of the blueprint of it. Having a schedule makes life easier for me and Kylie. Sometimes I want to fit so much in but having a schedule helps me to stay realistic and helps Kylie to know what to expect.

Since summer is here, we will have more and longer outside times and other things going on but that's a given. :)
