Just call me Dr. Mom

A Note from Dec. 12, 2009

Kylie had her eye surgery and now it's my turn to be doctor and give her eye drops two times a day. hahaha, now the fun begins, have you ever tried to put eye drops in a child's eyes?! Last night before I even got the drops out I was telling her, 'OK tonight I am going to put some eye drops in your eyes and they are.....' Kylie - 'going to surprise me.' Me- 'Oh, did the doctor put some in your eyes already at the hospital?!' Kylie- 'No, I just know.' LOL! Works for me. :)

I laid Kylie down to put the drops in and she had her eyes open and I got one drop in and I asked her to open her eyes so I could put a drop in the other one. Kylie said, 'I can't it's still surprising me right now.' hahaha

This morning it was time for the eye drop fun again. :P Kylie now knows what to expect and she tries to cooperate as much as she can. She laid herself down but her eyes were tightly closed. I said, 'Kylie you gotta open your eyes so I can get the drops in.' She says, 'You gotta open them, momma.' hahahaha, she couldn't make herself open her eyes.

OK four more days of this. :) (Luckily, it really isn't too bad because I know where to drop the medicine on the eyelid and it will go in when the eye is eventually opened. tehe)
